BL Factory Replica Rolex Daytona 116520LV – Green Lizard in the Rain Forest
The 116520LV, often referred to as a Daytona, has never been officially released by Rolex. My research on Google indicates that it only exists within the realm of replica watches, similar to the Daytona II and Sea-Dweller D-Green. It’s intriguing why some watch factories create replicas of models that don’t exist in the genuine market; perhaps it showcases their creativity.This particular Daytona replica, nicknamed the “green lizard,” features a green ceramic bezel and green subdials on a white dial. It is produced by BL, a relatively small factory in our market, which has introduced this unknown Daytona model. Their imaginative approach could lead to more exciting surprises in the future.
The name 116520LV likely references the Submariner 116610LV, which also boasts a green ceramic bezel. This grey Daytona has a 40mm case with a thickness of 15mm, crafted from 316L stainless steel rather than the more premium 904L stainless steel. I recently posted a review of the watch on my blog, but I haven’t sold any yet. If it receives a favorable response, perhaps BL will consider upgrading to 904L steel. The case features a brushed surface alternated with polished sections, and the chronograph buttons can only be operated when unscrewed. Unfortunately, the lugs’ backside lacks engravings, a feature present on genuine Rolex watches, although the latest Daytona replicas from Noob factory do exhibit this detail.
The white dial includes three subdials with green circles and silver-white markers. These subdials function accurately: the small seconds hand is at 6 o’clock, the 30-minute chronograph counter is at 3 o’clock, and the 12-hour chronograph counter is at 9 o’clock. I believe the watch would gain more popularity if it featured a full green main dial with three silver subdials. Like other Daytona replica wacthes, the 116520LV is equipped with luminous material on the hour markers, as well as the hour and minute hands.
The bracelet is made from 316L stainless steel and consists of three sections of links, with polished middle links contrasting against the brushed outer links. It is user-friendly, allowing you to easily remove or install links with a small screwdriver, much like you would with a genuine watch.
